I’m not sure what it is about the Ice Climbers, but I’ve always liked them a lot. They’re sort of hard to write comics about, though, since I don’t know much about mountaineering. For this strip, it sure was fun to kind of reinterpret the NES game into a slightly more realistic setting. The punchline is pretty simple but I really wanted to have a tall mountain to lead up to it.

But the next time I put off work because I tell myself “it’s only one panel” (despite it being the size of around 30), I’m going to kick myself.
