Pikmin 2 is a charming game all-around, perhaps most notably in its treatment of the real-world “treasures” that Olimar and Louie go about collecting. I imagine the end result of this would have to basically be as presented in the final panel, in a world where trash is treasure (and vice versa? Scrooge McDuck’s vault dive would come across as the work of a lunatic on Hocotate).

At least they’re going after gold nuggets in the third game! Although…come to think of it, those have less of a practical use to people than nearly anything you collect in Pikmin 2. So maybe the Hocotatians are onto something here.

The garbage in the final panel is all stuff you collect in Pikmin 2…except the banana peel and one half-hidden thing. Can you find it?
