I actually came up with this around the same time I was drawing Two Birds, but assumed the world didn’t need two back-to-back comics about Link’s beepin’ life.

One of the trickiest things about Zelda comics is that I make it a rule not to have Link speak. This gave me some real trouble in Pancakes until I realized that Navi can make for an excellent stand-in for the mute hero.

Guys! DKCR is ridiculously addictive! I’ve committed myself to getting all the Shiny Golds in Time Attack mode (that’s the hidden rank after Gold for every stage). I’ve already gotten about 50 of them, so I’m well on my way. The time trials really make you appreciate the level design, which is sublime. Platforming fans need to play this nonsense.
