Smash Bros. speculation is one of those entertaining little bonuses of being a Nintendo fan, so I thought I’d have a little bit of fun with that concept. For those of you who aren’t in the loop about the latest rumors whispered around Smash, there’ve apparently been somePalutena screenshots posted online, so the fanbase is abuzz with questions on if they’re real or not. I thought it’d be fun to play with that concept and show why Palutena and Mario were actually hanging out. Not everything is as it seems!

(That said, I do completely expect Palutena to be playable in the next Smash Bros)

This is a joke that might be a bit more obscure, but as someone who gets caught up in the roster discussions, I had fun commenting on speculation so directly. And it’s an odd coincidence that for two years in a row, the second BitF comic of the year involved some heavy guesswork about characters.
