Brawl in the Family has returned for another year of adventures! And what better way to ring in the sixth (geez, really?) year of BitF than by taking the Kirby transformation setup to its logical conclusion? I tried my best to think of as many Nintendo transformations as I could, but it’s possible I missed some. If you can think of any that I missed, feel free to sound off about it in the forums.

So what’s in store this year? Well, the BitF book will be released pretty soon, although I sadly had to push it back a couple months for the finishing touches. It weighs in at just under 200 pages, and will be available in both paperback and a limited number of hardcovers when it arrives. I also am still working with Nintendo Force magazine, putting a little bit of that BitF spirit in each issue in the form of exclusive comics (the first month’s is sort of a comics-style approach to some video game tips). I just got my own issue in the mail and the collaborative project is wonderfully done as a whole, and a great read from start to finish. And of course, the comic is off hiatus which means we’ll be here twice a week–Tuesdays and Fridays as usual–until the next time my Crohn’s Disease decides to flare up (which hopefully won’t be for a good while)!

I also got a new puppy! She’s a shetland sheepdog named Terra (after my wife’s favorite game and my second-favorite) and she eats Dededolls.

So welcome back, everyone, and thanks for your continued patience. 2012 was a big year in a lot of ways, and I look forward to seeing what this year brings.
