The "Get Well Soon" Matthew Thread

Hi guys, long time lurker and Matthew's big brother here. I usually never post but I think because of the circumstances I will make a thread for my little bro who has been dealing with some serious pain, as a get well/cheer up Matthew thread. I have decided to kick off this thread with a joke that he wrote himself when he was 15.

"What are red and invisible?" Hold for timing. HOLD HOOOOOLLLLLDDDD "NO tomatoes!"

Now a joke from me that I have made up on this very spot. "What is brown and stinky?" HOOOOLLLLDDDD FOOOORRR TIMMMMIIINNNNGGGGGg "A stinky stick."

For some reason, I made this thing.

It was tricky to modify KSSU and SMW sprites to match, but I think I pulled it off.

Custom sprites work wonders.
Doctor Mario was edited from Super Mario World sprites, and Kirby was made as a minor edit of KSSU sprites. The table and DM Kirby's stethoscope I made custom, though I did try to match the table's shading style to SMW.

Drawing on a touchpad is difficult, but I like the result with a cartoony feeling.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I was planning on letting everyone know what was going on with the next comic update, but for those concerned about my health, here's where I'm at right now:

It looks like I have Crohn's Disease. It's not life-threatening, but it's something that can only be treated right now rather than cured. It's basically an intestinal condition marked with a variety of unpleasant symptoms including abscesses and ridiculous amounts of pain. And speaking of ridiculous amounts of pain, I've been in ridiculous amounts of pain. Like, I feel like I've only now learned what suffering is.

But melancholiness aside, it's actually been a somewhat spiritual experience--the support from family and friends has been very nice. And the multitude of emails and posts from the fans (you guys) has been very encouraging and really helped a lot. It's really meant so much to me so I thank you all very much.

The worst part is hopefully over. And by "worst part" I mean three surgeries required for the diagnosis and a bunch of other stuff. I should be getting medicine this week so hopefully I'll finally be in working condition very soon. And right after my health, BitF is my top priority, so rest assured I'll be working on it whenever I feel well enough to.

Thanks again for your concerns and support.

PS. That is indeed my brother. He posts strangely, but it was nice of him to make this thread. Stinky stick.

While you were away I managed to get my comic set up. Thanks for your words of advice while me and Giga were working on it. We've since been joined by TheMightyBox and got our own site. (It's in the sig).
