This was definitely a great one to end the week with. I gotta love these comics because of Matthew's ability to use humor without adult undertones, something that sadly is hard to come by these days. I wish I had any clue how long I've been lurking here, but this one warranted a quick comment on the boards.

Yeah, I suppose I'm tired of the thwomp jokes but this one was funny. I loved the style of today's comic, and found it amusing. Hey, can't you feel sorry for that thwomp when it got kicked over by Mario? Even if it crushed him 50 times.

Mario definitely has the right to be tired of them because of all those new thwomp strategies. Just a side question but do you plan to sell these ideas to Bowser for future frustration of gamers everywhere? Good comic and the punchline was simple but good.

So, are Thwomp jokes becoming the third "Kirby eats something" gag (the second being the Intensity Cauldron)? Thaw would be amusing. Especially when you start thinking that all of them could be gameplay mechanics.

By the way, we haven't seen any, erm... "official" Thwomp moving sideways since Mario Bros. 3, right? I wonder why they didn't bring those back, of all things.
