~We Begin Anew, Like a Phoenix from the Ashes (A BitF Surprise!)~

    LATEST COMIC:

    600 - One Final Song

After a long and storied history in the old BitForums, the Current Comic Discussion thread has been closed off and finds new life right here. Let's have a moment of silence for it.

...And now, time to start up the new one!

Now then, with new comics popping up on Tuesdays and Fridays (and occasionally bonus days), you'll want to use this thread as the reliable place to share your thoughts with your fellow boarders. I'll keep it updated, of course.

Be sure to check in on the main site page for blog posts and news updates when you see that this thread has a new comic!

And keep in mind that if you have a lot to say about a particular comic, making a new thread about it isn't frowned upon as long as it's substantial. But for smaller commentary, this is the place to go.

Finally, keep an eye on here for SPECIAL BEHIND-THE-SCENES COMMENTARY from myself and occasionally Chris (fiftyeighthens) for some of the strips.

I never did comment on this one. I really liked the style of this, because it was almost like how someone would actually mark up a blueprint. Which I guess I appreciate that because of going into the drafting careers set, though Blueprints are not the same a board drawings. Close but not the same. Anyways I really enjoyed this one. There was one other you did similar styling like this before, and I enjoyed that one too....the Metroid Stage one.

Do you think we'll see more with this styling? The kind of random thoughts here and there thing that is. (aka thought processing strips)

Gotta say, this turned out to be one of my favorite recent strips as well. Trying to figure out what's going through Wily's mind when he designs his ridiculous schemes is like asking why Mega Man keeps letting him go after busting up all his robots: it's just how it's done. It's hero-villain etiquette. You don't just shoot the other guy; it's an intricate dance that's more like an art than anything else. It's more about the journey than the goal.

I think we could all learn a thing or two from these guys.

This comics and references in DC about the Megaman series are really making me consider downloading Megaman 10. Thanks TB. It is also thanks to BitF that I tried Kirby Adventure.

Like Rune, reading this makes me wanna download Mega Man 10. Of course, I've never played a Mega Man game(at least not from what I can remember).
My art thread should be up and running. Be sure to stop by and comment.
I like animals, but especially cats. I should probably change my sig, though. Eh, I'll do it later.

Apparently, if you've never played a Mega Man game, Mega Man 10 is not a good place to start.

I must ask, did you get the idea for Scorpion Man from Captainyoshi & Construction Man from my Quake Man?

I suppose so. I guess Mega Man 9 isn't much better of a start either? Oh well, either way, it still sounds interesting though.

Actually, I picked Scorpion Man because I think that's a Robot Master that every kid thinks up and draws in class (I know I did!). As for Construction Man, it's mainly a way for Wily to justify throwing a ton of Hard Hats (Mets) into a stage and calling it a day. It's also a jab at Wily (Capcom)'s tendency to reuse boss themes that are similar to past ones (in this case, Guts Man).

Oh, okay. Reminds me of that time I mistaken a guy named "Starman" as the item, Earthbound enemy/character?, or the megaman robot master when he says he just likes stars & he's male. I felt stupid for a bit...
Do you plan on making more Megaman comics despite the name of the comic?

Well, I'll say it again, this is one of my favorites.

So, Bun, I assume you're one of those people who jumps through the door? I do too, but I always slide if possible. Besides, in Megaman 10, the guy who CAN slide, Protoman, doesn't exactly raise his hands to make handprints when he jumps.

Great to see we're at a new forum and I hope the next update will satisfy. The comic is a great spoof of Megaman and I'm excited for whatever you can come up with next.

Aww, that's so cute. I especially like how Jigglypuff is floating like a balloon in Kirby's hand... arm... stub in the first panel. She also has a cute face in the third panel.

Where was Kirby holding that camera?

Simple comic, but a good one at that. I like Jigglypuff why'd it get kicked out of the anime. So now are you going to donate to Chile and have a mess with that so instead you just use the money to buy everyone who sent money chili?

It's more cute than funny, but it's great either way. I like how you emphasize the fact that he takes 4 pictures.

EDIT: By the way, if the Haiti donations are over, you should probably take "to Haiti" out of the donate tab.

I loved this comic. Cute and simple, just the way it should be.
