    THE GRAND PUZZLE

    Well, because I'm utterly bored, I've taken it upon myself to start another riddle quest, but this time on a much, much, much larger scale. Will anyone feel like solving my puzzle? Probably not. Will I do it anyway? Heck yea.

    Roughly the same day. We were using old forum software(e-Blah) which quickly showed itself to be extremely outdated within a few years, hence why we're using vBulletin.

    I know we've got a few veteran users who're more aware of the specifics here(I did join on day 2 after all), but I'm pretty sure this is right.

    1. How did the Moderators become Moderators? Was there some sort of sign up in the first week, or were you handpicked, or what? Don't worry, I have no intention of ever becoming one or anything of that sort, and am also pretty sure that's impossible, just curiosity.

    2.How/Why was jranm promoted to an administrator? Was there an opening that had to be filled, or was he voted to become one, or what?

    Whenever the team needed another mod, the current mods picked a member to give the position to. There aren't any applications or anything.

    We pick new mods from the veterans, since the qualities we look for in mods overlap a lot with qualities that we look for in vets.

    Before I post in Canvas about video games that I've developed, I need to know one thing: Does it violate Rule 3 against illegal activities to talk about using a freely licensed emulator to run freely licensed homebrew ROMs? For example, is it an infraction to talk about using N[redacted], an emulator distributed under the GPL, to run T[redacted], an NES game distributed under the GPL? Is it an infraction to mention the name of a web site that lists freely distributable games compatible with emulators?

    Is there any reason you can't just edit it later? What thread could this be?

    I can delete it if you could, if you'd like, but it sounds like all you want to do is "finish" this thread, so I can also hide it if you want to wait until it's actually done.

    There are a few ways I can think of why that could be happening, the top one being that they checked their profile as soon as the VM arrived but didn't notice it. What I'm more interested in here is if they DID receive the VM or not?

    TYPICALLY Alt accounts are highly frowned upon, so unless there's reasonable justification on why you're sharing the same exact computer I'd have to ask why bother asking this in the first place?
