Why isn't Pit playable?
Doesn't he go into space in his games?

And I'm pretty sure he does it in Uprising too, right?

In the original, Pit does not go into space. Instead, he went to Skyworld, which is in the clouds, but not space.

Uprising, he does go into space.

But I think Papero is meaning only characters that are able to travel the cosmos frequently?

I meant characters who travel through space as a lifestyle and are otherwise unearthly. However, since I wasn't clear before, I'll accommodate for characters like Mario and Dedede who have spent considerable time traveling through space or have been seen on other planets.

Also, New rule: The first stage must be chosen between:

• Final Destination
• Lylat System
• Brinstar

After that, you're free to pick any stage in the normal stage list.

Loser's Finals between Nick and I was close, then I forfeited my Grand Finals match with Papero because I had other stuff to do at the time and the tourney took longer than I expected.
I also had a feeling I was gonna lose anyways. :P

Btw the theme was changed to vanilla last minute since we had fewer people than expected. I went all Sheik/R.O.B. except my last game with Nick when I went Olimar.

Also we really have to get a Power Rankings set up around here so we can seed the bracket and not get the really good players killing each other in the second round. I played really cheaply all the way through Loser's Bracket because Papero knocked me out really early.

Although I approve of the PR seeding idea, it wouldn't change the results too much. Keep in mind that there were only 8 people in that past tourney, including Papero, the entire elite 4, plus Foodies (who's definitely E4 level and would have made the medal stand had she not forfeited due to time issues.) Unless we get some more people in here, good players knocking each other out quickly is inevitable.

I would have to assume that this week's tourney is the Space Warriors tourney since the theme was changed last week.

I can't host though since I have something else to do on Saturday.

If Elfice or Papero cannot host, there won't be one this weekend.

I assume there was no theme since there was nothing announced. I'm only changing the topic's name when I see there's a new tournament planned with said theme or some sort.

These are characters who have spent considerable time through space, either by being a known space traveler, or have traveled to several other planets for a large portion of a game.

The characters allowed are:

I'll be happy to host, nothing's on my calendar for Saturday except to watch The Legend of Korra, but since Papero chose the theme, if he wants to host, I'm fine with that. also because i really like this theme and want to play in this tourney omg But until further notice, I'll be hosting this one.

Won't be able to make it to this one. Saturday School for chemistry stuff so I get extra time off at the end of the year.

And the week after I have an IRL tourney but the time is set to be 8PM at the moment, which is long after these usually end.

I'm not knowledgeable in those games, how much of the games were spent in space? If there were only one or two space-themed levels, that's not really in space. If a space ship was a hub for the level select or something, he would have to be going to other planets.

I think the one that most fits what you're looking for is colors, as the game is spent going back and forth through Eggman's theme park worlds, which are technically other planets... although the whole contraption is connected to earth via a giant space elevator.
