This thread will be used to list the GMs for future Lololo mafia games.
When making your reservation, make sure that you post a rough draft of your mafia game's original post. This helps us ensure that you have a decent outline of the game planned out so we don't have people who reserve games, and never wind up starting them.
Talking from the dead to change the outcome of the game is the most obvious offense. Unless you were given a role which lets you do so, you must stay silent about details of the game. Chatting it up with alive folk to see how they're doing is okay as long as you don't give anything away.
Sharing screenshots of your inbox, private messages, and whatever else you can think of is against the rules. Showing someone you know in real life these things is essentially the same as screencapping. Copying and pasting conversations, private messages, and the like are okay (as they are much easier to forge) unless the GM has made a rule against it.
If you discover that some users (usually the mafia) are working within a chat room, you are not allowed to attempt to bust into this room. These rooms are simply there for convenience, so please, don't make it harder on people who prefer to communicate this way.
If you know that someone is breaking the rules, then tell the GM. Knowing that someone is cheating but not bringing this up to the host essentially makes you an accomplice/accessory.
Breaking these rules will result in a godkill and a suspension from two games. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned from participating in forum mafias.
Other forms of rule breaking are dependent on the game, and as such, will be taken up by the GM.
The sleepy little town of Lololoville was, on the whole, unremarkable. Just under a year ago, though, the first in a series of corpses was found in the centre of the village green. The victim had three identical cuts on each cheek, and one running down the centre of his forehead. The local constable investigated, and pronounced the cause of death to be blood loss. The next week, he too was found dead; his corpse was found in the same place, and he had died in exactly the same way. A body was found somewhere in the town each week since then, marked by the same cuts. The murders made national headlines, along with rumours of a dark cult operating within the town. Now, at last, the few remaining townies are banding together in order to drive the Cult out for good. But will they succeed? And at what price?
This game sees the Mafia replaced by the Cult. In addition, once per game, the Head Cultist (i.e. the Godfather) can initiate a normal villager into the Cult's fold. Likewise, once per game, the local clergyman can, at the Constable's request, redeem a Cultist onto the side of the village.
Roles: The Cult
- 1 Head Cultist (the Godfather, permanently cloaked as a townie)
- 1 Black Magician (the Mafia Doctor, can protect one person per night)
- 1 Witch (the Mafia Hooker, can roleblock one person per night)
- x normal cultists
The Village:
- 1 Constable (the Detective, can investigate one person per night)
- 1 Physician (the Doctor, can protect one person per night)
- 1 Hooker (the Hooker, can roleblock one person per night)
- y normal townies
Neutral:
- 1 Mercenary (the Vigilante, called in by the town to help kill off the Cult... but they're of doubtful reliability; can kill one person per night; they win if they are the last man standing)

This'll do me good to see how mine looks on the forums.
Spoiler: The Legend of Mafia: A Zelda-themed Mafia game
The Story:
Ganondorf was in a foul mood. His most recent attempt to get his hands on the Triforce had failed; as such, he had returned to his keep and refused to see anybody. Night turned to day, and the King of Evil had yet to emerge from his chambers. Concerned for their son's well being, Koume and Kotake entered his chambers to find a disturbing sight: Ganondorf had been murdered. Their scream was heard throughout the keep, and all the minions gathered in the large room to see what had happened and gasped in horror at the sight of Ganondorf's mutilated body. Attatched to one of the knives sticking out of Ganondorf's head was a note, presumably from the killer. It read:
This inept fool has hindered the progress that we all strive to see. As such, I have killed him and aim to rally the troops that served under him under a more capable banner. I already have supporters; they are powerful enough that if I have to kill those who resist, it will not matter. You are all expendable. But things do not have to be this way. You may all join me with no hard feelings, or I can begin killing you one by one. So what's it going to be?
All of the minions felt that they were determined to remain bound to Ganondorf and swore to take down those who had conspired against him. "If it takes killing some innocent minions, so be it. These cowards must be stopped at all costs!" screeched Koume. "And don't forget what Lord Ganondorf said as he returned to the castle last night: that pesky Link could be here at any moment. We must be ready to combat them, as well. Also, he said that the Triforce had scattered, but the pieces did not return to their normal holders. He suspects that three of us may hold the fragments, and the only way to retrieve them is to kill the holder. So if you hold a piece of the Triforce, it may be wise to keep that a secret if you value your personal safety. But at the same time, uniting the entire Triforce could be how we finally achieve victory!" All of the minions nodded in agreement, and looked around the circle at each other nervously. Who could they trust? At the moment, nobody but themselves.
Role Townies:
Twins
Doctor
Kidnapper
Announcer
the Detective
Vigilante
All remaining townies will not have a role, but they will be eligible for a special surprise...!
And don't worry, each role has a character assigned. Vanillas may or may not get names too since this is a themed Mafia, after all.
As you can see, there are two mafias. I feel like all of the roles are easy to get if you've played enough mafia games (if you haven't I'll post what the roles do in another spoiler box), but the two I should mention are the safeguard and the Hero Mafia Godfather. The Safeguard is pretty much the reverse Doctor: it protects a user from everything except a kill in the night. The Hero Mafia Godfather is special because it cannot kill unlike the Villain Mafia Godfather. Instead, the Hero Mafia Godfather will target a user every night. If they are not the Villain Mafia Godfather, nothing happens. If they ARE the Villain Mafia Godfather, however, then both mafias will team up then and there.
Spoiler: The other roles
-The villain godfather targets a user each night to kill.
-The kidnapper targets a user and removes them from the game for two nights and one day. During that time, the kidnapped may not communicate with anybody in the game related to the game, not even to say that they have been kidnapped: leave that to me. The kidnapped may not vote, get voted for, be lynched, use a night action, or be targeted by any night action. If the kidnapped DOES communicate that they have been kidnapped or tries to vote, they will be godkilled. Additionally, each user may only be kidnapped one time the entire game. It does not matter which kidnapper kidnaps you. If you are the kidnapper and try to target someone who has already been kidnapped, your night action will not go through.
-The detective targets a user to investigate. The investigation reveals that user's role and alliance.
-The doctor protects a user each night from getting killed. Any other night action will still happen to that user, and the doctor may not protect the same user two nights in a row, nor may they protect themselves.
-The spy is like a reverse detective: they target a user, and anyone else who targets that same user will be investigated, revealing their role and alliance.
-The hooker targets a user each night to block their night action from happening. The hooker may not target the same user more than twice every three nights.
-The twins do not have a night action as long as they are both still alive. But if one dies in the night or gets lynched, the surviving twin will go rogue and abandon any alliance you might have. They also gain the power to kill each night. If they do go rogue, they may approach either godfather and join them if you wish. Or you they stay unaligned and win if they survive. But they may not rejoin the side of the town. And they may not join a mafia if another vigilante has already joined.
-The announcer PMs me every night to tell me something to announce at the start of the next day. It can be literally anything, related to the game or not. If they want, it can include their vote too; if they include their vote in the announcement, they may not vote again under the guise of a vanilla.
-The vigilante is a killer on the side of the town. Each night, they target a user to kill, but if they kill two allies in a row, he will go rogue. That means they will win by surviving, OR they may join a mafia if the other vigilante (the surviving twin) hasn't done so already.
Now the defining thing about THIS mafia game will be this:
Spoiler: The Triforce
Three townies hold a piece of the Triforce, and as such, have gained powers that grant them roles. If they live, the Triforce remains separate. But if all 3 holders die, the Triforce is complete and is granted to a vanilla townie. If you get the completed Triforce, this is what you will find in your inbox that night:

If your investigation reveals that your target is a mafia member, then you will proceed to kill them in the night. But you must be cautious; surely abusing your gift by investigating and killing every night will alert the goddesses that you are unfit to hold the Triforce and they will strike you down at that very moment. Because of this possibility, you have decided that you will not investigate more than once every three nights. However, you may protect as many nights consecutively that you desire, and there is no limitation on how many times in a row you may protect someone.
Pretty nifty, right?
Any questions/comments/suggestions/bashings about this? Let me know!

Darn it, Elfice is going with that kind of Mafia too! So, let me get on with my Mafia...
Spoiler: Dreamland Mafia - A Kirby Themed Mafia
Plot
Dreamland, the main resort of Pop Star. Well known land, vast and thriving with wonders and seemingly popular areas, from the classic Green Greens, Fountain of Dreams, Float Islands, Butter Building, and the infamous Mt. Dedede.
And that's where this is all taking place.
King Dedede, as usual, was feeling grumpy. His antics are always spoiled once again by that pesky pink puffball, Kirby. From countless mishaps, to schemes being ruined, Kirby has done it all. There seems to be no way to stop him at this point.
But there is one way to lure him here.
The restless King was ready; a new plan, with nostalgic ways of doing it. King Dedede, and his small army, had rounded up all the food within the land of Dreamland, similar to his failed plans last time. This time, his plan was fool-proof, and there was no significant way to stop him.
... But once again, he failed. And this time, it was as if it went as fast as a snap.
"What!? What do you MEAN the food has been stolen back from us!?" The King roared at his little servant, Waddle Dee.
"Uh, uh..." the little red figure shook and shivered, "apparently, one of us here was able to steal overnight, but there was no recorded data or evidence found... in fact, it could be anyone of us..." He continued trembling in the King's intimidating look.
"Grrr... that's IT!" He pounded his bulgy hand on the desk. The King is not amused. "For once, I thought I would be able to pull this off for once!" He then turned around to his seemingless empty pit of food.
"One of us here in this kingdom is not who they really are. Something must be done in order to find the culprits here! Call everyone up, from each and every of my minion! We can't let anybody leave without a single trace of facts, there must be a way to find the culprit soon enough!"
Waddle Dee stopped shivering, and quickly stood upright. He placed his arm over his forehead, and gave a salute. "Aye Aye, sir!" He ran out the doors of the throne room. Dedede sat on his throne, and put his hand on his chin. He groaned.
"So, let's see who is the Mafia of my kingdom..."
Spoiler: The Roles and Characters
There will be a set of three alliances, two of them being the Mafia and the rest being the town.
The Kingdom (Town):
Waddle Dee the Announcer
Bonkers the Vigilante
Parasol Waddle Dee the Doctor
Biospark the Detective
Knuckle Joe the Bodyguard
Tac the Hooker
Kirby Super Stars (Mafia 1):
Kirby the Godfather
Prince Fluff the Safeguard
Ribbon the Kidnapper
Adeleine the Doctor
Kine the Persuader
The Bosses (Mafia 2):
Marx the Godfather
Daroach the Hooker
O2 the Bomb
Dark Matter the Doctor
Kracko the Silencer
Neutral:
Metaknight the {SECRET}
If the possibility of extra Vanillas, they will be a regular townie, and informed they are to clear up confusion, due to his being another themed Mafia.
Spoiler: Roles
Godfather: Both Godfathers are eligible to kill every other night, but alternatively. Kirby Mafia will be able to kill on odd numbered days, while the Boss Mafia will be able to kill on even numbered days. Yes, they are able to be Role-Blocked too.
Announcer: The Announcer will PM me the me a message everyday, that will be opened up to the public. The message is limited to anything, be it revealing information or a simple message. Yes, voting in your PM will count to the current vote too, along with posting in the thread altogether.
Vigilante: The Vigilante is the town's main source of overnight killing. If the Vigilante kills two townies in a row, he will become a Neutral, and leave the town. He is then, able to be united with any of the two mafias remaining.
Detective: The Detective will investigate a user and find their alliance and role. Godfathers, however, will be revealed, but their list of other members will be cut.
Doctor: The Doctor protects a user every night from being killed. However, this is only for being killed, other attacks such as Silencing and Role-blocking will be in effect. You can not protect yourself, or the same user twice in a row.
Persuader: The Persuader will be able to force another player to vote for a certain other player. For example: User X persuades User Y to vote User Z. Failure to vote for the right person will result in a Godkill.
Spy: The Spy is able to target a user for a day, and if another user targets the same user, then you will be able to find their role and alliance.
Kidnapper: The Kidnapper is like a long-term Silencer. They will target a user, who will be kidnapped for the next day and night following. With that, they are unable to communicate in anyway, vote, lynch, perform night actions, be targeted by night actions, or even be lynched. The kidnapped will be informed about their kidnapping, and informed on the day they are released. However, you can only kidnap a certain user one time and one time only. Trying to kidnap again on the user they already kidnapped will result in nothing to happen.
Bomb: The Bomb is a passive role; when the Bomb, you will detonate if you lynched on any day. The first person to vote for you will be killed with you too.
Hooker: The Hooker (or Role-Blocker) will prevent any targeted user to prevent from using their night action. You cannot use this twice in a row on the same user, only every other night.
Mole: The Mole is like a disguise role. When inspected, you will have an entirely different role and alliance. However, Moles will not have a night action either way.
Safeguard: The Safeguard is able to target any user for the night and protect them from any attacks, except killing. You cannot guard the same person twice in a row, only every other night.
Bodyguard: The Bodyguard's role is slightly altered; they act as both a Safeguard and Doctor combined. However, the only difference is that if the user they are protecting is targeted, they will be the one affected by it. For example: If User A guards User B and User C tries to kill user B, User A will be killed instead. You cannot guard the same person twice in a row, only every other night.
Silencer: The Silencer will be able to target a user, making them unable to post or communicate with anyone else during the day. Unlike the Kidnapper, they can be targeted and lynched. You cannot silence the same person twice in a row, only every other night.
Questions / comments / concerns? PM me.
So I decided to go back to the ol' original Mafias we went to, such as the Mario Mafia and SSB Mafia. I decided not to add anything fancy, and keep this at its roots for now.
I'm also considering of eliminating one of the rules to be able to have Godfathers kill, because there seems to be way to much people that can kill already (three per night? Yikes).
Wow, I've been bumped down a bit. Here's hoping I can get in before December! :P
Mafia Down Under
The outback. A never-ending pile of orange sand, Kangaroos, and the occasional rock formation. God knows what drives people to live there. Not even the passengers of the airplane flying over the landscape could figure it out. Truly, this is a lonely lifestyle.
The drone of the engines was soon masked by the sound of a staticy voice. *BZZT*We will be arriving in Mawoombawa Airport in a few minutes, we hope you have enjoyed your flight with QANTAS-*BZZT* the PA system never finishes, as the plane starts to shake. The civilians on board start to panic, the Pilots looking over the city, wondering what the hell is going on. Over the city, there seems to be this giant...dome. "What the hell is that doing there?" The co-pilot asked. "And more importantly, why are we still flying into it?"
...and so, the story begins with tragedy. Down in the city below, the blood runs through the streets, the denizens of Mawoombawa erupted into chaos for a reason not very clear. That is, until a small band of vicious fellows arise ontop of a pile of bloodied bodies.
"ATTENTION THE CITY OF TAWOOMBA! WE, THE REBELS, HAVE DECIDED THAT WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS BORING LIFESTYLE, AND SO WE ARE REBELLING! JOIN OUR CAUSE OR DIE! WE MAY BE A SMALL BAND, BUT WE HAVE NUMBERS IN THE CROWD, SO YOU HAVE NO HOPE! YOU MUST SURRENDER!"
The townsfolk looked around. Some of them were Rebels? This couldn't be so! One of them stood up to argue.
"HEY, YOU RATBAGS! YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES SICK OF THIS LIFESTYLE! I REPRESENT THE MADMEN, AND WE ALSO WANT TO KILL YOU ALL! YEAH! AND WE HAVE PEOPLE HIDING! YEAH! SO YOU CAN ALL DIE NOW! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The townsfolk were really scared. Sure, most of their numbers consisted of famous people and things from the famous people and things convention that was happening, but still...perhaps some of them were Rebels and Madmen?
Alright, excuse plot out of the way, here's the rules:
Spoiler: MAFIA DOWN UNDER RULES
1. This game is played between three sides – The two groups of mafia are small but informed groups that seek to be the sole surviving group, while the village is a large yet uninformed group who have to band together to stop them. The game consists of two phases – a day phase and a night one. During the day phase, everyone votes on who they believe is mafia. the person who managed to receive the majority of the votes is removed from the game. During the night phase, most roles are used in order to grab information, protect allies, or just plainly kill people! This is also when the mafia get their chance to kill.
1.5 In the results of a tie, both people get killed.
1.5.5 You can no-lynch. If not enough votes are received at the end of the day, or if the majority of votes are no-lynch, then no-one will be killed. You cannot have two days in a row without a lynch however. If majority is stripped from someone within an hour of the last vote, then the day can still end in a No-Lynch. After an hour, however, the majority stands.
1.5.5.5 If you are going to do nothing for a night phase, please PM me with the message "Night X – idling”, so that I know you’re still active and I don’t have to godkill you for being inactive. If you don’t have a night action then this doesn’t affect you.
2. Once you have signed up for this mafia, I need you to PM me three characters. Out of these three characters, I will choose one of them to be the Flavory text and name for your role. Your role name does not affect your actual role in any way, shape, or form. When doing this, however, there are a few restrictions:
- You must be a Noun. Proper, Abstract, I don’t care what kind as long as it can be classified as a noun.
- You must be able to provide me a link to some sort of wiki from which I can get my information from, because I’ll need to write some kind of description and I don’t know every single noun in the universe. If you cannot do this, then that character will be rejected
- Your character cannot be a major spoiler. Things like Rosebud are probably alright, but things such as [REDACTED] are not only ruining it for the rest of us, but I think will also get me infracted.
- You are not allowed to be a Dalek (Reserved by me), an OC of yours (Sorry LPTWers), or any user on BitForums (Because I may do this one later. Yes I’m greedy, deal with it.)
If you fail to follow these rules, I’ll just ask you to come up with something else. If you fail to PM me within a reasonable amount of time (couple of days max, Day 0’s going to be longer than most phases), I’ll just godkill you before the game even starts. Because of this, I’ll be taking more people on that I have roles for, everyone who still doesn’t have a role at the end of this just becomes subs. For the record, I currently have 23 roles, with a probable maximum of 25.
3. All forms of communications are allowed, and I’ll be setting up a IRC chat as usual. However, due to previous games I will not be making any Mafia IRC channels and I strongly urge that no-one else does, either. Mafians can contact easy enough with PMs and it means that they cannot be given away as easily as they have been in the past.
3.5. As per usual, no screenshotting or impersonation of other players or you will be godkilled on the spot.
4. Straight from Rune, Mafia’s a game about being deception, and as such I fully encourage tarnishing of reputations, faking your role PM, and general lying. However, you may not lie about being persuaded, forced to revote, or silenced. Doing so will result in being godkilled.
5. I am not god, I’m merely posing as god. Don't assume everything I say is true (Unless it's in the day/night summary post)
6. If you have any further questions, please contact me. Keep in mind these rules are ancient as I wrote them after Mario Mafia, I may have missed something here.
7. Have fun! ^_^
Also I will not post roles unless someone can tell me a good reason. I can assure you that I'm currently balancing them, though, if that's any reassuring. However, they're currently all pretty much set in stone, I just can't write the PMs until the game starts. I can also assure you that everyone will have a role.
Home with the milk in the morning / Singing the same old song
So I've updated the list since Lenore's game is over (good job town!). That means that Elfice's Legend of Mafia is gonna start up next, so good luck to everyone participating. Also...
Spoiler: :I
Castle Lololo Mafia v9.0
I've wanted to run a game of mafia for quite some time, and I figure now's as good a time as any! This will just be a simple game of vanilla mafia since we've been having quite a few themed ones lately. After all, a bit of vanilla is nice every now and then. This game will only have one mafia unless there's enough players to support two.
Spoiler: Rules
Rules
1.The game is split up into 2 main phases, a day phase and a night phase. The day phase will last 36 hours or until a majority is reached (yes, this means that once a majority has been reached, the person with the most votes against them will be lynched without exception). The night phase will also last 36 hours or until I get every night action.
2. No one likes a quitter so if you've signed up, please make sure that you're able to go the whole distance. Someone who does not act for 2 day phases straight or 1 night phase will be godkilled. If you're unable to participate for a period of time, please inform me so this doesn't end up happening to you.
3. Once you've died, you're out of the game. If you're dead, you can not post in the thread or give information to active players until the game ends.
4. Posting a screencap of your role PM is illegal. Impersonating the GM however, is allowed.
Spoiler: Roles
Roles
1. Doctor: Targets one person in the night to protect from kills.
2. Detective: Targets one person in the night to figure out said target's role.
3. Hooker: Targets one person in the night to ensure that said target does not complete their night action.
4. Godfather: Directs the mafia's kills. Unlike some games in the past, a role-blocked Godfather can still direct kills.
5. Persuader: Persuades a target to vote in a manner that is favorable to the the Persuader. The target can not give away that they've been persuaded or they'll face a godkill.
6. Vigilante: Kills people!
The town and the mafia will both share the doctor, detective, and hooker roles. The godfather and persuader are mafia-only roles, and the vigilante is neutral. (note: some roles may be added depending on whether or not we have enough people)
Spoiler: Tips
Tips
1. Play carefully: Don't be quick to give out your role, or to say you are a townie. Try to think before saying anything to someone in PM's. Playing safe within the game will get you farther, playing quickly and sloppy will lead to mistakes.
Example: Take Ark from Mario Mafia. He was fairly quick in trying to get a role out of SNF. So what did he do to try and get one from him? He tried to fake a role PM, but he made several mistakes within that PM. SNF caught them, and quickly Ark was outed as a bad guy. Sure he was neutral, but he needed the mafias to win in order to win.
2. Never trust anyone: This is a the big one. Some of you are very quick in trusting a person. You should never want to trust a person, until you know 100% that that person is worthy of being trusted. This goes for both sides of the game, mafia or townies.
Example: In the SSB Mafia the SSE was quick to take Tiger in on their side after his twin had been lynched. He knew all of the SSE members, and had shortly gained a list of the Forgotten mafia. Tiger took the risk of destroying the SSE and Forgotten that game. Sure he was going to win that game if he stuck with the SSE, but Tiger wanted to take that risk, because they trusted him. This is just one of those things that could have gone bad fast, but fortunately for Tiger, it worked out.
3. Feel free to PM me more tips if you feel as if I've missed something important!
I totally did not steal these tips from Tigerman's mafia, nope!
I was thinking of hosting another game. After doing a theme mafia and a mafia with a twist, I've decided to try a vanilla mafia.
Spoiler: Castle Lololo Mafia Version 10.0
Castle Lololo Mafia Version 10.0
This version of mafia shall not begin with a story. Instead, it shall have an element of surprise.
Spoiler: General Rules. Those bolded are specific to this game and should be read.
Basics
During every day phase, everyone will publicly cast a vote to eliminate someone from the game. During the night phase, the mafias will secretly vote to eliminate a town member out of the game. The town’s goal is to eliminate all mafia members. The mafia’s goal is for their small group to outnumber everyone else.
Role PMs
Everyone will receive a Role PM containing a role (or vanilla status), alignment, and extra information. The extra information is generally a hint about role distribution, but may contain something else. Each person’s extra information is unique.
Role PM’s can be shared. Forging or altering Role PMs to show others is acceptable.
Mafia dynamics
[B]Each mafia will begin with only three members. Additional members may be recruited for a maximum of five members at any given time. Un-aligned players and sole survivors from another mafia may be recruited.[B]
Preliminary round Before the game officially begins, each mafia will select their Godfather and the order of succession. The Godfather is more of a leader than an actual role. Godfathers may submit their mafia’s choice in each night killing and are responsible for sending me a PM confirming a recruitment.
The Night phase
Anyone with a night action must PM it to me. If you choose not to use your night action, please tell me by PM you are idling.
Once I have received all PMs, you may receive a PM from me mentioning a certain restriction you must comply with. These restrictions are a result of another’s night action that targeted you. Failure to comply will result in removal from the game.
The Night phase will last for 24 hours or until I receive all night actions. If you fail to PM your night action, you may be removed from the game. You can ask for an extension, although it may not always be granted.
The Day phase
Someone is voted to be lynched during the Day phase. Every time someone votes, it must be added to a tally. At the end of 48 hours, the person with the greatest amount of votes will be eliminated. If there is a tie, the person to reach majority first shall be lynched. there is no option to No-Lynch. Failure to vote for 2 day phases in a row may result in your removal from the game.
Elimination
Whenever someone is eliminated from the game, his or her role PM will be publicly revealed.
Communication
Players may communicate with each other through any means. Information on roles may be shared at any time. Do not pass around screenshots of conversations or Role PMs. Doing so will result in removal from the game. Players removed or eliminated may no longer disclose any information about the game to active players.
Spoiler: Possible Roles.
Each mafia and the town will not start with more than 1 of any role, with the exception being Twin. Additionally, some roles listed may not be in this game at all. Any other information about role distribution will not be disclosed.
No role may use a night action on themselves.
Night actions may not be used on the same target on consecutive nights.
Detective
A Detective learns the role(s) and alignment of their target. Doctor
A Doctor protects their target from being killed during the night. Role Blocker
A Role Blocker prevents their target from completing their night action. Vigilante
A Vigilante kills one player each night. Persuader
A Persuader gives a message to their target that must be repeated during the following day phase. The message may also include a vote. The target may reveal they are being persuaded, but may not change the vote. Silencer
A Silencer prevents their target from communicating for one day phase. Votes and persuaded messages cannot be silenced. Spy
A Spy chooses a player and learns the role(s) and alignment of anyone else that targets the same player. Safeguarder
A Safeguarder disrupts night actions that affect their target. For example, a safeguard can distort detective results and prevent silencing. Used offensively, a safeguard can also prevent a doctor from saving their patient. Safeguarding does not prevent death. Bodyguard
A Bodyguard protects their target from being killed during the night by becoming the new target for being killed. Kidnapper
A Kidnapper removes their target from the game during the night and following day phase. Journalist
A Journalist sends the GM a message to be posted at the beginning of the Day phase. Included in the message is the Journalist first of two allowed votes. Bomb
A Bomb has no night action to report as they only have a passive ability. If a Bomb has any votes against them during the day, the suicidal Bomb will blow themselves up next to the first player that voted for them. Mime
A Mime has no night action to report as they only have a passive ability. Whenever someone else targets a Mime, the Mime will automatically mimic their night action and use it against them. There is no limit to the amount of night actions a Mime can mimic. Miming does not cause or prevent death. Mole
A Mole will distort detective results when investigated. Twin
A Twin changes their alignment and gains a new role if their fellow twin dies. Jack
Jack of all roles, master of none. A Jack may selects one of the 15 other roles to use for a night phase and through the following day. However, Jacks can never select the same role more than once.

Re: Lololo Mafia Planning Thread
I decided that I want to try hosting a Mafia game, so...
Spoiler: Lololo Mafia v.11
I'd rather not being doing a themed game because at times the role names can get confusing. Since this is the first game I'm hosting, I don't want people to get easily confused.
Spoiler: Rules
Spoiler: General Rules of the game
1. The day phase consists of voting for either no lynch, or voting to the user whom you think is Mafia. The day phase will last 48 hours, or until the majority is reached. If the majority is reached, the user who was voted for will be lynched, or there will be no lynching, if that's what had been voted for. The night phase will last 48 hours or until all night actions have been collected.
2. In order to keep people from being inactive and potentially ruining the game, any user(s) who are inactive for two straight day-and-night cycles will be god-killed the third day phase and be replaced by the first user on the reserve list.
3. All roles, excepting the Politician, will remain anonymous, unless that user decides to say who he is.
4. If you are killed in the game, whether by the Mafia or lynched by the town, you may not get into contact with any living member of the town in any way. If a user who has already died in the game contacts you about the game, screencap the message and send it to me!
5. No screencaps may be sent to other users. However, quote tags are allowed, since the text inside may be edited by the user.
Spoiler: Mafia Group Specific Rules
1. During the night phase, the Mafia members must confer amongst each other and then decide on who to vote to kill. The Mafia Boss will then send in the username of the voted-upon user to me.
Spoiler: Roles
Spoiler: Town Aligned Roles
Detective - Chooses a user and will be able to see what role that user has. Doctor - Protects another user from being killed by the Mafia. He can only block one user for two night phases before having to switch to another user. Hooker - Chooses a user and "blocks" them, disallowing them to perform their role actions, Mafia or otherwise. Police Officer - During each Day Phase, a small hint will be given about who is a Mafia member. The hints don't have to refer to one Mafia nor will come in any particular order. Politician - Due to their silver tongue, his vote counts as two votes instead of one. His position is also known. Due to this, his personal body guards can protect him once (the personal body guards are NPCs, not actual users). Newsman - An anonymous radio announcer who gives the news at the beginning of the day and can tell the town whatever he can through the protection of his anonymity, though he can still be killed, silenced, or blocked normally.
Spoiler: Mafia Aligned Roles
Boss - Leader of the Mafia. They submit the Mafia's vote of who they plan to kill during the Night Phase. Bodyguard - This bodyguard takes his job seriously, wearing a thick bulletproof vest during the night. He stands guard over one of the Mafia members to protect them from being killed during the night. Extortionist - Threatens another user into voting for another user during the Day Phase. If the extorted user says they have been extorted, they will be godkilled. Hooker - Chooses a user and "blocks" them, disallowing them to perform their role actions, Mafia or otherwise. Mole - When investigated, a fake role PM will be given to the Detective.
Spoiler: Neutral Roles
Anti-Survivor - Tries to get killed in the game. If they are lynched by the town, they win. Twins - Two users where one's death will affect the other's path in life. If the town lynches one Twin, then the surviving Twin becomes a member of the Mafia. If the Mafia murders one Twin, then the surviving Twin becomes a Vigilante. The Twins will know each other's identities. Vigilante - During the Night Phase, they choose a user to kill. In order to win, he must live throughout the game.
Spoiler: Special Rules Regarding Roles
1. If the Vigilante(s) are the last remaining non-Mafia town members, then the game will end, with both the Mafia and the Vigilante(s) winning.
2. If both Twins are the last remaining non-Mafia town members, then the game will end, with both the Mafia and the Twins winning.
3. Rules 1 and 2 overlap, so if the Vigilante, the two Twins, and the Mafia are the only users left, then all of these users win.

Reason: Adding some more roles
I've modified my mafia after the run of 1vs2 becoming somewhat...constant, and going for a new format of 2 equal teams, each being in a partnership with someone else. However I'm having balancing issues, so that's where you come in.
If you have no interest in playing my mafia, then I would like your assistance to balancing things out. There are a few requirements, though:
1) You MUST have played at least one game of mafia before
2) You MUST give me a reason why I should pick you (only picking one because I currently have 25 shoes to fill)
3) If you help me out here I may give you hosting powers with me if I can't update as I'm away all September, but if you take up this YOU CANNOT PLAY IN THE GAME. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Cant have someone having an overwhelming advantage and all, considering I'm not releasing a full list of the roles.
So yeah, sorry if this is the wrong place but I'm kinda needing some help here and it'd be most appreciated! :D
Also I'll update with the revised rule, gimmick's still the same but it's just a different format of mafia.
EDIT: Wow, that was fast. Got my help, thanks very much! :D

Home with the milk in the morning / Singing the same old song
How about a Psychic. Someone who can talk to dead people during the night phase, (right after the new death body is defined) and let them say their last words.
The dead user would aid him like telling who is the principal suspect for him, or either if he was a detective or a cop, the information he had during the game.
In case of mafia dead bodies, they will say hidden messages, because who mafia wants his mafia dead? They will not be forced of givving a punctual fact, but they must give a clue for who a mafia is.
Well resuming it would be that.

Well, that sort of defeats the purpose of being dead, right?
Death means you can't participate any more.
If you know all the mafia members but have been keeping it secret in order to avoid death and you die, then you can release that list with no fear and the town wins immediately.
Also applies to the mafia, as they can blurt out all the town roles they know.
It makes it rather unfair either way.
And from what you said, there'd be no way for the Psychic to release those words, unless you're going for a sort of Announcer-type deal.
Good thought, at least, but I can't see it happening.
Oh and to be on-topic, I'm planning a themed mafia, but I'm nowhere near done, so expect me in a while~
Spoiler: How Unorganized
A big Thank You! to Piepi for the Charmander signature. You know, the one with the bandanna? That one. And another Thank You! of the same large magnitude to Villerar, for the other Charmander and the Shukaku signature! They're the ones that are all tribal and orange and stuffs. And a third Thank You! to Elfice, creator of the lovely Zorua signature. And thank you to the random people whose art I have found and taken off of Google.
Well i was actually thinking at not explicit texts... you knnow liike psychics say
"something is coming, i see an X or maybe a Y, what should this mean?"
It's just that dying randomly is kinda bothering, since a normal mafia game is done in 15 minutes, but these are done in not less that week and a half.
The idea is that dead people gets his/her last words so they can participate, not directly, but like a little hint to get the game!
Maybe to balance the game it could be a psychic and a witch, each one working at each side of the game.

I'm not really sold on the psychic either - people are usually killed off so that they can't say what they know, and the psychic seems to defeat that.
Anyway, I've been tossing around ideas for an uber-experimental game, but I can't guarantee anything. It's perhaps a little too out there to run. I'd like to try GMing something again, but I'd only be able to do it in December; summer's the only period of the year when I have that kind of time on my hands. (Lesson learned). Quite a while down the track, but possibly still worth a mention.
I've been working on a Halloween themed mafia game lately. I still need to do some work and fine-tuning with the roles, but I do have all the roles and rules in mind, so I can post it here.
(I'd like to play this game as close to Halloween as possible--say, starting about a week before October 31st?--so if others have a game ready before then, you're free to go before me. If one gets started and hasn't finished when I want to start mine, it's fine--I'll start it as soon as that one is done.)
This game will be quite a bit different (and more complex) than a standard mafia game because everyone gets a role and there will be a lot of one-time use night actions. Furthermore, rather than a standard "mafia dies = town wins, mafia outnumbers town = mafia wins" set up, every role has a set of win conditions based on a point system. Completing your objectives earns you points, and whoever has sufficient points at the end wins.
I'm hoping to get about 25 to 30 players when this goes up. If we end up with more, I might be able to expand on the roles so everyone gets to play (I'll be working on this in advance in case it's needed).
What follows is a rough draft of the opening post:
----------------------------------------------
New to mafia? This link gives you the basic rules! (Normally instead of a Cop, games have a Detective who can learn another player's specific role. Also, talking during the Night Phase is normally allowed.)
Spoiler: Specific Rules and Notes to This Game
Night 0: The game starts with a Night Phase, but no killing actions can be used. Protection against kills would be useless since no one will die. Most Day Phases and Night Phases will last 48 hours. Failing to submit a Night Action on Night 0 will not count as inactivity, so it may have a limit of 24 hours instead.
Details of Night Kills: Each protection from a night kill a single player has works against a single kill attempt on that player. A player will be killed if more kill attempts are made than protections they have. (Most of the time, players will have 0 or 1 protection, but it is possible to have more.) The mafia chooses someone to execute their kill each night--if this person is Role Blocked, the kill gets blocked along with their action.
Role Blocking Details: If you are Role Blocked when you use a single-use or limited-use ability, you generally lose the use even though the action does not go through. Some abilities can block an ability without costing a use of it, though--this will be in the ability's description. If a target of Role Blocking does have more than one action, all their actions will be blocked.
Role Balance: Mafia members will have somewhat more powerful roles than others. Roles with an ability that can be used constantly will have few other utility abilities. Roles that have only single-use abilities will have more of them. Some roles may be more powerful than others, but every role should have something that makes it fun to play.
No Lynch Policy: Two No Lynches are allowed in the game. If No Lynch wins the vote twice, it will no longer be available, so use it wisely.
If you sign up to play, please remember to play. If a player is inactive for two day/night cycles, they will be god-killed. Sending a PM during the night phase saying you will remain idle does not count as inactivity (although if you never vote and always idle, you may be god-killed anyway). Being active during the day phase is defined as voting or actively participating in discussion on who to lynch. (How much discussion is enough will be a judgement call, so go ahead and vote just to be safe.)
Once you die, you are out of the game. You won't be allowed to post in the thread until the game is over, and you won't be able to share information or give advice to other players. Take note that most roles can still win--sometimes even gain victory points--even after the player dies.
Screen captures of Role PMs or chat conversations are not allowed. You can share your Role PM by quoting it or copy/paste a chat conversation (since these are quite possible to fake), but no screencaps. Most people won't be able to do this, but logging in, looking at your Role PM, and letting someone read it over your shoulder is the same as screencapping. So please don't do that.
Lying is OK. Mostly as a note for any newcomers, but you don't need to reveal your role to someone just because they ask, and even if they know your role, it's easy to lie about your abilities. Sometimes the truth will get you somewhere, though, so be selective about who you tell what and what you lie about. Be careful with who you trust!
Expertise will only get you so far. While experienced players are likely to know the ins and outs of figuring out who has what role and how to outsmart the opposing side, there are enough gimmicks in the game to throw you off. Not only does everyone have a role and night actions to choose from, but sometimes the town winning isn't enough for a town member to win--you may need to offer help if you want help in return. A few roles have objectives that are just there to hinder everyone!
When the game begins, you will receive a PM with information about your role. Everyone gets a Role PM. The roles are listed below with a brief description of who they are and what they do. The specific abilities and win conditions will only be revealed in the Role PM. However, some of the roles listed here are red herrings and will not appear in the game. So beware. (NOTE: Depending on the number of players in this game, some of the roles not used may be removed from this list, but some red herrings will be left no matter what.)
Spoiler: Town Roles
Invisible Man - It's funny what you can learn when no one knows you're there. Able to gather information on the roles of other players.
Priest - Offers divine protection against the dark and evil forces roaming the town. Can protect against night action kills.
Young Frankenstein's Monster - Being a huge guy with surprisingly high intelligence makes you a good bouncer. Able to Role Block other players, denying them their night actions.
Mummified Pharaoh - Never underestimate a centuries-old figure wrapped in bandages. Retains control over some of the mafia's Zombie Horde, granting bonuses while it is still alive (or rather, still undead).
Bed-Sheet Ghost - Seems pretty... unthreatening. What secrets might be hiding with this one?
Darth Vader - Well, he did eventually turn from his evil ways, did he not? In charge of the town's authorities.
Swamp Thing - With no real body to speak of, this mysterious plant-manipulating being will prove difficult to kill.
Kids In Costumes - Ranging from young children to teenagers, this group isn't very dangerous. They can be crafty working together, though. (This is a role for a single player.)
Mad Scientist - Operating that huge laboratory is expensive, but worthwhile. Able to grant one-time use abilities to other players.
Haunted House Owner - The guy with a great costume who went totally overboard to make the best haunted house on the block. Abilities are based on controlling some of the "help" that makes it so convincing.
The Weeping Woman - This sad wanderer has an aura of unrest that makes others nervous to approach her. Able to gather information and avoid harmful effects well, but has little control over it.
Sword-Bearing Hero - Seeks to kill the Black Knight. Being a hero, he will not harm an innocent, offering them protection instead.
Bigfoot - Master of hiding in plain sight. Witnesses what happens in the night with some ability to interfere.
Party Host - Call him unimaginative, but the one who threw this party will, indeed, be part of the game. Retains some information about each "guest" (the other players) and who they came dressed as, revealing it to the game over time.
Headless Horseman - Is he looking for his own head, or someone else's? Either way, you can't help but feel like he's always following you...
Black Mage - Interested in using and practicing magical abilities more than anything, but why not use them to help people? Some powerful offensive abilities are up this one's sleeves, but the uses are limited.
Dr. Jekyll - He only wishes good. Why is he so bad at seeing it happen? If investigated, will appear to have a mafia role.
Scarecrow - Often ignored by others, this lucky and inconspicuous fellow will see some of what goes on during the night. Also happens to be a master of fear. Now if he only had a brain...
Hunchback of Notre Dame - Mysterious but well-intentioned man from the church tower. May have command over a few things lurking up there that no one else sees.
Batman - Gotham's famous detective looking to rid this town of evil... (Though in a town like this, it's hard to tell who that is...) Will be able to make an anonymous announcement at the start of each Day Phase.
Kind Old Man with Candy - Cheerful and helpful to others, this beacon of hope can't possibly be hiding any dark secrets... Counts as two town members for the purpose of the mafia outnumbering the town.
Lionel Van Helsing - Wishes to see Dracula killed, whatever the price may be. Aids the town by going out at night to kill who he hopes are mafia members.
Tengu - Mysterious bird-man of Japanese lore. Captures players to briefly remove them from the game without killing them.
Spoiler: Mafia Roles
Dracula - Mafia leader. Submits the mafia's kill target and which member will execute the kill (in addition to their normal actions). Will appear to be an unassuming town role if investigated.
Horde of Zombies - Remember all those people who died in the previous mafia games? Well, they're coming back looking for brains... Will be able to make an anonymous announcement at the start of each Day Phase. (This is a role for a single player.)
Jason Voorhees - Silent and sturdy, this one is difficult to kill and difficult to learn anything about.
Necromancer - Can restore a dead body to life or unlife, but only if they know to reach them quickly. Able to protect against night action kills. Also said to channel the dead somehow...
Unfriendly Alien - People? Just something to experiment on. And maybe steal a few cows from. Able to briefly remove players from the game without killing them.
Werewolf - The one who let himself get bit and didn't even try to fight the transformation. Able to role block other players, denying them their night actions. Happens to be a smooth talker in human form, allowing him to sew believable lies.
Slender Man - He can be there when you're not looking. Able to gather information on the roles of other players.
Spoiler: Neutral Roles
Black Knight - Seeks to kill the Sword-Bearing Hero. Said to have a connection with the mafia, even if he is not affiliated with them. Does not count for or against the mafia in terms of outnumbering town members.
Freddy Krueger - Visits players in the night to kill them in their dreams. Motive is unknown, but it is reasonable to assume that he doesn't care which side wins, and only wants to stay alive until the end.
Predator - A hunter seeking to bring down strong targets, but not interested in weak ones. Has a mix of detective abilities and killing abilities.
Grim Reaper - Wants to outlive as many players as possible. Has no power to kill directly, but can aid another player's kill.
Pirate Captain - Does not care who lives and who dies. Only cares about getting some sort of profit out of the chaos.
Witch - Lives for one reason and one reason only: to mess with the other players as much as possible.
Spoiler: Winning The Game
Everyone will find victory conditions in their Role PM. You need to earn a total of 20 points to win the game. Some roles are simple--they might have a single win condition that grants 20 or 25 points. Other roles have several objectives that grant different amounts of points.
At the end of the game, I will display how many points each player earned. Some will be able to earn more points than others, but there's no real bonus for having 25 points where someone else has 21--both players are winners. (You are free to compete for points if you like, though.)
To win the game, put the most focus on your top objectives, but don't forget your lesser ones. Don't worry about fulfilling all of them. If you have a lot of conditions that add up well past 20, it's meant to give you a choice as far as how to go about it.
I think that due to the mafia game right now dieing off we should start a new one.
1 - to skip current mafia
I don't think it's died off. I still think there's PM problems. I feel like Aura would have told us otherwise.
From what I've heard, Aura's worked quite hard on this, and if he wants to pass now and let it start later, that should be his decision, not ours.
Spoiler: How Unorganized

So yeah, if anyone else is ready then they can start up a mafia.

I have about one day's worth of work to do just polishing up a few details with my game, so (while it will be a little late), I'll get the Halloween mafia game up soon. Expect it sometime this weekend.
Mafia Down Under isn't dead, but schoolwork's put it in suspended animation for a bit. People who already joined get preference when I re-start, and you'll keep the characters that I've given you (mainly because I'm not writing all those PMs and not using any of them lol). Maybe after Halloween Mafia who knows, I'll effectively re-submit it once schoolwork dies down.
Home with the milk in the morning / Singing the same old song
Woah, no new mafia ideas yet?
I have a homestuck mafia idea.
I'll post the rest of it when I get there, but here's what I got so far.
Spoiler: Mafiastuck
You find yourself in the Land of MURDER and DISTRUST.
It is a land with buildings everywhere, and on those buildings are blood.
Three new groups have emerged, trying to stabilize the town, Two for making the town better but they don't trust each other, one for making it more murderous.
Spoiler: Gameplay
Here's how this goes.
DAY: In the day phase, people will vote on who they want to lynch.
There is a no-lynch option, but it cannot be used the next day phase if it is used.
NIGHT: In the night phase, actions are made by PMing me.
The only restriction is on night zero, no killing/protecting actions will be allowed.
Spoiler: rules
1: Have fun with this, even if it does get ridiculous. This is a homestuck based mafia, after all.
2: This is more of a recommendation, but DON'T TRUST ANYONE. If somebody asks you for a role PM, you may want to fake it.
3: If you miss 2 consecutive night phases and the day phase between them, you are god-killed to make the game move along faster.
4: For mafia players, you are told who Karkat is, since not only is he your leader, you must submit a vote for the mafia's kill. The two town teams will have a 'Sheriff" who, though not submitting a kill, will organize a few things, mainly by telling the other team-mates who everyone is.
5: If you are killed/investigated, your role PM is shown. There may be extra bits given, since disguises, robots and timeclones exist, though. You also get a unique cause of death depending on who killed you.
Spoiler: communication
Just some sub-rules.
1: You can communicate in any way, but posting screenshots is not allowed. Quoting, however, is.
2: If you are dead, you are not allowed to talk about this game until the game is over.
3: I ain't giving you an IRC place, ya'll will have to make your own.
6: Failure to comply to these rules will result in a godkill and you may be prevented from playing in future mafia games.
Spoiler: Roles
Spoiler: Human town aligned
John - role blocker and sheriff.
Rose - investigator.
Dave - one time use powers.
Jade - newsman.
Felt [If approached by bec after midnight crew's dead] - capturer
Bec - persuader.
sweet bro/hella jeff - preventor
Spoiler: Troll town aligned
Aradia - protector and sheriff.
Kanaya - disguiser.
Nepeta - Investigator.
Equius - one time use powers.
Feferi - persuader.
Tavros - role blocker.
Felt [If approached by Feferi after midnight crew's dead] - capturer
Gamzee - Me. You cannot target me for your night action, BTW.
Eridan - Vigilante.
Felt - (if midnight crew is still living, does not want to side with town yet.) capturer.
townies [consorts] - approacher.
Spoiler: role explanation
>Godfather: [Karkat]
No special role, but does have final say in who gets killed.
Knows all mafia members off the bat in role PM.
Note that although this person has the final say, they must still converse with team-mates to decide on who to kill.
>Sheriff: [John and Aradia]
Organizes the team and tells everyone who's who. This role is not much, they are more of just the go to person to check if they are on your side without investigating.
>Role blocker: [John and Tavros] *
Prevents target from using a night action. If used on Dave or Equius, the time clone or robot is kept alive if they use one.
>One time use powers: [Dave Roboradia and Equius]
Alpha Dave/Equius (user) can either create a time clone/robot with a specific suit/function if one doesn't exist already, or they can send a time clone/robot to do something. Each time they are used, the clone/robot is killed, with death announced, after the night action is given, and the powers available are kill, investigate, roleblock, and preventing Alpha Dave/Equius from dying. Only one of each can exist at one time, they cannot create one the same night they send one out, and the one that prevents them-self from dying is NOT a passive one. May limit to two time clones/robots at a time if this seems like a bit much for one person. This person starts with 3 of the 4 for night zero, to give them a possibility to preform a night action without killing a clone on night zero. A role that can be used will be marked with a * for explanation purposes.
>Investigator: [Rose and Terezi] *
The target's role is revealed. If used on Dave or Equius, the time clone/robot's use is revealed, but it would still be obvious on who it is.
>Newsman: [Jade and Sollux]
An announcement is made each day, once from each person. What they say is beyond my control, as I will directly quote them without editing anything. [with the exception of adding quirks if they didn't type it up that way.]
>Protector: [Aradia and Karkat]
Protects a kill AND prevents the person who was about to do the killing from interacting in the next day/night phase. Only works if target was about to be killed.
>Disguiser: [Kanaya]
They can give a disguise to someone, and if investigated, they will appear as someone else if investigated. The disguise given is chosen by the user that is being Kanaya. This is a passive ability if it is given to someone, and can possibly last the whole game. One person cannot have two disguises at once. [Troll town only]
>Preventor: [Sweet Bro/Hella Jeff]
Prevents the target's action during the NEXT night phase and prevents them from voting in the current day phase. [IE if used on night 0, they cannot vote in day 1 or do a night action on night 1 but the night 0 action is still done.] Cannot be used on the same person twice. [Human town only]
>Manipul8r: [Vriska]
Makes a target do their night action on whoever is being Vriska says it should be done on. Recommended usage on people who aren't team-mates. does not work on Equius, Gamzee, Eridan, or Feferi, as they are higher on the hemospectrum and are immune to this. If used on a consort, they come and join your side as a vanilla mafia. [MAFIA ONLY]
>Persuader: [Feferi and Bec] forces Persuades whoever they persuade to join their side. Only works on neutral people. If not used on a neutral person, nothing happens.
[this role will only be if we have enough people.]
>Approacher: [consorts]
Whoever they target they approach and join their side. This is a one time use even if target is killed. Nullified if a persuader or Vriska convinces them otherwise. [NEUTRAL ONLY]
> Capturer: [Midnight Crew and Felt]
They capture with harmful intent, but will only kill the opposite gang. Too much blood to clean if they killed everyone, you see. If you get captured, your night action is nullified and you can't vote in the day phase. They do not know who you are, nor do you know about them. If, by chance, they capture each other at the same time, both of them will die. You also cannot communicate in the day phase if you are captured.
>Vigilante: [Eridan] *
Grants a kill action each night, no questions asked.
> Gamzee: (me)
Subjuggulates those who were voted for lynching, starts the voting, and announces deaths each day.
Spoiler: Clauses.
> If you were a consort that switched sides, you will NOT be given a role. If you switch to the mafia, your only significance is to vote in who they kill.
> If Aradia targets john or the other way around, both users are given the option to join together.
> If Eridan approaches Feferi or Karkat, he is given the option to join them.
Users playing:
none at the moment.
I do believe this is good enough for a possibility now.

I've had this game set up for a while now. Perhaps I'll just post it now.
Spoiler: Dawn of a new Mafia
Castle Lololo Mafia Version ??.0
This is a vanilla mafia with an emphasis on the voting phase. Half the town roles, half the mafia roles, and all the neutral roles will have some affect on the outcome of each day.
Spoiler: General Rules
Basics
During each day phase, everyone will publicly cast a vote to eliminate someone from the game. During the night phase, the mafias will secretly eliminate a town member out of the game. The town’s goal is to eliminate all mafia members. The mafia’s goal is for their small group to outnumber everyone else.
Role PMs
Only players with roles will receive a Role PM. The information contained will be identical to the Role descriptions listed in the Rules. Role PM’s can be shared. Forging or altering Role PMs to show others is acceptable.
Mafia dynamics
There is one mafia with __ members. The amount of players will determine the mafias numbers. Only three members will have roles. If the godfather or blank dies, the mafia will promote one member to take over the responsibilities and benefits.
The Day phase
The game begins on Day 1. Someone is voted to be lynched during the Day phase. Every time someone votes, it must be added to a tally. At the end of 48 hours, the person with the greatest amount of votes will be eliminated. The No-Lynch option is available only once. Failure to participate for 2 day phases in a row may result in your removal from the game.
The Night phase
Anyone with a night action must PM it to me. If you choose not to use your night action, please tell me by PM you are idling.
The Night phase will last for 48 hours or until I receive all night actions. Extensions may be granted. If you fail to PM your night action, you may be removed from the game.
Once I have received all PMs, you may receive a PM from me mentioning a certain restriction you must comply with. These restrictions are a result of another’s night action that targeted you. Failure to comply will result in removal from the game.
Elimination
Whenever someone is eliminated from the game, his or her role will be publicly revealed.
Communication
Players may communicate with each other through any means. Information on roles may be shared at any time. Players my lie to each other about anything, including persuasion, silencing, and bet making.
Do not pass around screenshots of conversations or Role PMs. Doing so will result in removal from the game. Players removed or eliminated may no longer disclose any information about the game to active players.
Spoiler: Roles
Town Role Detective
The detective learns the alignment of their target. Doctor
A Doctor protects their target from being killed during the night. Mayor
The mayor’s vote counts as two votes. Hippie
Living a life of peace and love, the hippie has no intentions of taking part in lynching. To stay peaceable, the hippie will keep their vote off the majority. During the night, the hippie will give free love to someone. However, recipients of free love will pay the price of not completing a night action.
The hippie prevents their target from completing their night action.
The hippie may not vote for the current majority.
Mafia Role Godfather
The godfather consults the mafia and determines who is killed. Persuader
The Persuader forces their target to vote for a particular player during the following day phase. The target may reveal they are being persuaded, but may not change the vote. Silencer
The Silencer prevents their target from communicating for one day phase. Votes are not silenced. Bartender
What better time to open a bar than the start of daily murder and lynchess. To advertise the bar, the bartender offers one free drink a night. For most people, one drink will have no ill affects. Lightweights like the detective and doctor however will make a mistake in judgment. The persuader and silencer also act differently, but possibly in a good way.
The night action of someone targeted by the bartender is reversed.
The detective will conclude the wrong alignment of their target.
The doctor will kill their target.
The persuader will force their target to never vote for a particular player.
The silencer will force their target to speak incessantly.
Neutrals Best Friend
Unable to make any friends in life, the best friend has decided to make a friend in death. Town folklore speaks of a bonding force created between 2 people simultaneously dieing. The unstable best friend desires to evoke this force in order to gain a best friend forever. Since folklore states suicide negates the force, the best friend seeks death from the town’s lynching.
The best friend must be lynched by the town to win. Additionally, the first person to vote for the best friend will die with them simultaneously.
Maid
Cleaning the homes of everyone in town, the maid knows everyone’s dirty laundry. However, to keep their job and life in this town, the maid must stay silent and impartial. Even voting for a client twice would be suicidal. Thus, the maid just wishes to survive the lynching ordeal. Should the maid fail and be on their deathbed, there would be no point in keeping confidentiality anymore.
The maid must survive to win.
Should the maid die, the murdering party may receive an answer to a yes or no question. If the mafia kills the maid, the godfather must PM me a question. If the town kills the maid, any member of the townie may PM me a question and I will choose one at random to answer.
Additionally, the maid may vote for a player only once.
Toxicologist
A genius in the field of toxicology, the toxicologist has decided to test out a newly synthesized poison on the populous. People are dieing left and right from the mafia slayings and town lynching, so who would notice a couple more people dead?
The first person the toxicologist votes for will die at the end of the day.
The toxicologist must survive to win. Additionally, at least one poison victims must die from the poison. A poisoned player that is lynched does not count.
Gambler
Most people would be concerned for their lives by a slew of murders and lynches, but the gambler just wants to make a quick buck. Instead of a pony race, the gambler is betting their pony will live until the end of the lynches. Everything the gambler owns is on the line so protecting the pony must be done at all cost. Should the gambler die, any earnings won would support the family back in the homeland.
The gambler must place a bet on one person’s survival. If this pony survives until the end, the gambler wins. Otherwise the gambler loses and instantly dies. The gamble may not be their own pony.
Death does not prevent the gambler from winning. However, the gambler should stay alive to defend and protect their pony from lynching.
When roles collide: the miscellaneous role rules
Night actions may not be used on the same target on consecutive nights.
The hippy and maid will receive an instruction PM when persuaded, but are not required to comply.
The best friend forever and maid are immune to poisoning.
The hippy can role block the godfather to prevent the mafia’s nightly kill.
The pony is not informed a bet was placed on them, nor is the gambler’s identity disclosed.
There are no carrot or friendship related powers given to the pony, nor is the pony informed about the bet.

I also was working on a PokeMafia sequel involving the weather trio, but the game is difficult to set up and worse to balance. It might just be a dud. If I somehow complete it, I'll substitute in place of the vanilla game.

Gonna hop in and say that Ruane's mafia is up next unless he wants to pass. If you're confused at why he's going before Ario, this is because Ario edited his post, which originally only contained the most basic ideas of how his mafia would work, at a later date.
Anyway, Ario, take a look at your mafia and ask yourself if that game actually seems like it's balanced. There are so many things wrong, and the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that in a game where there are two "even" sides, only one side has the power to kill, and that's the mafia with Karkat. The next thing that comes to mind, and correct me if I'm wrong here since your post is difficult to actually interpret, is the fact that the town actually starts off with one less person than the mafia since the Felt don't join until the Midnight Crew is out of the way. I can go on, but I really don't want this to come off as blatantly bashing your mafia since I'm sure you put thought into it.
Also, I really suggest not going for a game that has two sides which are equal in number. Mafia, at its core, is a game where one uninformed majority has to eliminate the informed minority. When both sides are "balanced", the game ultimately ends with the side that loses a member first losing the whole game. It also easily leads to stalemates in votes. Mafia Down Under is our example right here.
Just a tip, but I say that you should start smaller. One town made up of basic townies and two roles (detective and doctor), a mafia made up of about 4-5 people depending on how many people join, and a neutral vigilante who can join either side. Those are the basics, so just add on from there.
