DitF - Dubs in the Family

So, uh, I wanted to test my cruddy new microphone and my cruddy voice today, and I decided that dubbing BitF strips was a fun way to do so.

Not saying they're any good, but I'm actually interested in trying to improve my voice now. I might do some more sometime. It was actually kind of fun.

So if anyone else out there wants to do the same, go ahead and post 'em here. Just make sure to credit Bun in the video description or something.

the first one was pretty good, the second was kinda... er... grumbly... and the third was absolutly adorable!

all in all, those were pretty well done, good timing, the right tones... good-a job!
    Guess what?

    You're great.

Thanks. Yeah, I thought the third one was way better than the others. As for Wario...well, I was grumbly on purpose, but maybe I overdid it a bit.

Oh, I'm pretty sure it'd needless to say this, but the voice for Peach was edited. There's no way I could sound like that.

These are actually fairly good. Could your voice use some work? Yeah. But they were still pretty good, and the last one was the cleanest one of the three.

It'll be interesting to see how you improve.

We long to remember that which we wish we could forget.

I thought they were great, although I don't think you captured Red's true tone when saying "Stop." I never thought of it as, "Please oh please just stop already" but just a flat and annoyed "Stop."

So did I, actually, but when I tried it, I just couldn't get it to sound right. Those flat stops seem more effective in text than in speech...or maybe I just couldn't do it right. Probably the latter.

I agree! Very entertaining. I'd love to see more of these. The third one was also my favorite. I like the character voice for the fish, hehe.

I have a new USB headset with a mic attached. I wonder if I can use it to dub.

I'm using a headset mic to record, too. Not high quality by any means, but it gets the job done.
And I just use Audacity. It's free and easy.

Rats, I downloaded Audacity and still can't record. It's unspecific about the problem. Maybe I need a different brand of mike.

Those were funny! The first and last ones were really good, the middle one with Wario was a little off, but I think that's more because Wario's voice is REALLY hard to do.

Re: DitF - Dubs in the Family

I think the biggest problem in those dubs is the general lack of sound effects. But since the whole point of them was improving your voice acting, I say it was pretty good!

Hey, those were-a pretty good, oh yeah! Really liked that last one, and the first one had the right emotion. Second one was pretty funny, too, but like everyone else has been saying, Wario's voice is slightly off (we're just too used to Charles Martinet's awesome acting!) I would like to see other ones, they seem like they are fun to do.
