Massive necropost, but I thought this was important news (if anybody still cares).
Strong Bad and Homestar made a surprise appearance at w00tstock 5.0 introducing Wil Wheaton: (youtube link).
Not sure what this means for the site, but hey it's nice to see them again.

This was at the recent San Diego Comic Con, right? Matt Chapman was there for the Gravity Falls panel, so I imagine it wasn't that hard to get him to do this.

Still, man, it's been too long since I've see Strong Bad... They really should get back to making more cartoons... Although, Matt Chapman's work with Gravity Falls MIGHT make things difficult...

...Strong Bad's fez made me think of Grunkle Stan.

He were not hanged. He would not answer aye or nay to his indictment; for if he denied the charge they'd hang him surely, and auction out his property. So he stand mute, and died Christian under the law. And so his sons will have his farm. It is the law, for he could not be con-demned a wizard without he answer the indictment, aye or nay... Great stones they lay upon his chest until he plead aye or nay. They say he give them but two words. "More weight," he says. And died.

All of my yes. I imagine that the Compé will be quite dusty.
Wait, is Strong Sad going to be a social justice warrior now?

Personally, I'd say go for it. I followed Homestar Runner up until they stopped doing it, so it'd be nice to have watch new Homestar week after week. It's also interesting, considering Matt Chapman has been doing dozens of other projects lately, such as writing for Gravity Falls AND Wander Over Yonder, so I'm intrigued to see how the newer Homestar will be like.

Huzzah, they're back. It's been a while. The last Strong Bad email came out when Sonic games were only just recovering and Mega Man was having a retro rebirth and look to have a bright future. (I'm bitter still)

Let's see if this is the true return after a couple false starts (both on april fools oddly.)

What's your favorite piece on the Homestar Runner website? My favorite is Date Nite with Strong Bad and Homestar both at their comic best.

Strong Bad: Explain how drowning them wouldn't ruin their date?

It's great to see the site updated,
I remember when I first started watching the animations.

Oh man, I would have re-watch some toons and emails to remember which one I liked best.

Virus is a classic, but I think The Animated Adventures of Puppet Homestar is my favorite, for a lot of reasons. I mean, it has Marshie in it, it's got some really funny jokes, I'm constantly quoting lines from it, and it was the first time I saw Puppet Bubs. I eventually found out I did a good Puppet Bubs voice, (Which isn't saying much, I know) and that voice resulted in me making up a fictional character, who I've used in a few games I've made/am making. Basically, without that toon that character I made wouldn't exist. I know it sounds weird, but it's probably true. Not taking that last part into account though, Virus would probably be my favorite.

My favorite was probably either Senor Mortgage or Senorial Day.

EDIT: Upon rewatching some of the series, my favorite was probably Bug in Mouth Disease.

Well there's a new Ha-ha-ha-halloween toon coming out soon. And the weeklies at the top of the page have finally started updating again.

    Re: Homestar Runner Discussion Thread

In case anyone here still cares and hasn't found out (because I literally just found out yesterday, and have convinced myself there must be others in the same boat), TBC did 2 different updates this past April, including the first Sbemail in five years.
It seems like they're releasing a bunch of toons every 5 months or so. Which fits the 'sporadically and without warning' update rate Matt had mentioned on his Twitter so long ago.
