Restarting the fabulous anime/manga discussion thread. So what are you guys watching right now? Maybe some favorite series?

I personally am not watching anything at the moment. I've been meaning to watch Durarara! and Hanamaru Kindergarten but I can't motivate myself to do so. But my god Hanamaru si adorable from what I have seen of it.

I started reading Reborn! again and now I'm at volume 9. The creativity in fights is kinda awesome
Argh there're so many manga/anime I'm in the middle of that I need to finish/get caught up in (E.g. Reborn, Bleach, One Piece, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin)

I am reading the Phoenix Wright manga and Watching/reading Yu-gi-oh!

Watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann here. It took me a while to get the first 16 or so videos working with sound. They were different kinds of files from the rest and were named differently and with all these random letters and numbers that looked like they meant something. It was basically alphabet soup. All sorted out now.

My first journey into the world of giant mecha has some rather untraditional giant mecha. First look at a ganmen (... gunmen?) and I'm like "wat"

My manga shelf is small and the only animes I have under my belt now are Lucky Star and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I hope they sub that new movie of the latter soon. :D

Currently reading The World God Only Knows (as you can see from avatar), and it's so great and awesome and Keima is so manly oh my god. Plus, cute girls everywhere.

And I guess I'm watching Railgun. It's not so interesting right now because of PLOT, but it's still fun.

Lately I've been watching Galaxy Express 999 on AnimeNewsNetwork. Currently I'm trying to punch out the last 60 episodes before the series expires in about three weeks. If you can forgive its general cheesiness and 80s-style-melodrama, it's pretty friggin' awesome once it gets rolling. The Conductor is the best character ever.

Pokemon Special or what? There are lots of Pokemon manga, but PokeSpec is considered the main one.

Ah yeah, TTGL is a pretty crazy mecha anime. So amazing. There are two movies (Gurren-hen and Laggan-hen) that are give the series a different end. I haven't seen Lagann-hen yet but Gurren-hen was AMAZING. Also if your still interested in mecha afterwards, give Eureka Seven a shot. AIR SURFAN MECHAS

OMG I love you. GE999 is one epic trip. Maetel is one mysterious figure. And I love her outfit. The episode where the went to Pluto was so sad T_T

Yeesss. The three main characters--Maetel, Tetsuro, and the Conductor--may all simultaneously hold the positions of favorite character design (both physically and psychologically) for any anime or manga series ever. Even many of the one-shot characters are pretty good, I think.

I think Gurren Lagann was one of the best animes I ever watched. And Bokurano. And Haruhi. And PaniPoni Dash. Watched some others, too lazy to tell 'em all. Watching Lucky Star now.

I also started reading Bobo-bo Bobobo-bo (Bobobo and Pachi's randomness is priceless) and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (WRYYYYYYY). LLove them both but for some reason I didn't finish either. Currently reading Chrono Crusade, next one Keroro Gunsou. Or maybe I'll get back to Bobobo. Durrr.

If there was a BitF simulwatch, would anyone be interested?

For anyone who may not know: A simulwatch is the act of a group taking an old(-ish) anime series, then watching it simultaneously over time. Normally it's like episode #1 on Monday, #2 on Wednesday, #3 on Friday, etc. After we watch each episode, we can come on here and discuss it.
