Why do you have to be so evil MAtt? I don't have any money for the kickstarter because I need to buy the new smash

Re: Brawl in the Family: The Complete Collection (Volumes Two and Three)

    As of this post:

There are slightly fewer than 180 copies of the Volume 1 Hardcover edition.

Approximately $205 per day is needed for the $120,000 goal, approximately $1115 per day for the $140,000 goal, and approximately $2020 per day for the $160,000 goal.

The mean pledge is $109, therefore even achieving the $160,000 goal is realistic.

    Nice!
I really like how you calculate all of this.

Hmm... I want the Paperback Trilogy Signed, but I also want my name in the Special Thanks. But I can't have both, because there is no paperback version of the Dream Set. Decisions, decisions... Signature or Special Thanks? I better decide before it's too late! What would you recommend, Matthew? Could I get the Special Thanks Complete Set with a signature for an additional fee?

Since approximately 150 copies of the Volume 1 Hardcover were sold when Matt announced that one-third had been gone through, therefore, we can estimate that there were 450 in the beginning (and I subtracted that figure by the number of pledges that go towards tiers that contain the Volume 1 Hardcover).

To calculate the amount needed per day to reach a goal, I subtract the current amount raised from the goal, then I divided it by the number of days (and I included fractions for the hours).

The mean pledge is calculated by dividing the current amount raised by the number of backers.

Don't forget--a lot of hardcovers were already spoken for in the Tadpole Treble Kickstarter, which I didn't actually include in the original number! So those have to be subtracted as well...

GuyWithThePie--yeah, we can work something out. Shoot me a message on Kickstarter and I'll let you know!

Well then, please tell us when there are actually fewer than 100 Volume 1 Hardcovers remaining. This way, potential backers won't end up pledging for copy that would be no longer available. My numbers are just a rough estimate based on data I can access (which is not exact).

After all, statistics and statistical analysis are my hobbies.

Got the special thanks paperback trilogy myself. I just wanted to give a proper thanks for helping me get through a lot of dark times over the past few years.

I sent you a message on Sunday, but I haven't gotten a reply as of Tuesday. Please let me know before this Friday, because this Friday is probably the only chance I will be able to get this.

Re: Brawl in the Family: The Complete Collection (Volumes Two and Three)

A few hours ago, someone dropped $1000 for an original comic strip. There are now two left.

Just over $640 per day is needed to reach the $140,000 stretch goal or approximately $1695 per day for the $160,000 stretch goal. Even the $160,000 stretch goal is doable, even at the current pace, given that the mean pledge is around $109.

    Bump:

Someone upgraded from art set to original comic strip tier. There is now one art set and one original comic strip available. If you always wanted Matt to draw your two favourite video game characters (or two Pokémon or one character and one Pokémon) or if you want Matt to draw an original comic strip, now is your chance, as long as you are willing to pay up.

Just approximately $480 per day is needed to reach the $140,000 stretch goal or approximately $1575 per day for the $160,000 stretch goal. The $160,000 stretch goal is even more doable now. Remember that the mean pledge is approximately $109.25.

Re: Brawl in the Family: The Complete Collection (Volumes Two and Three)

The $140,000 stretch goal has very much been reached, thanks to approximately $3000 from PayPal.

There are now two more stretch goals: the $180,000 Volume 1 Hardcover reprint with new cover art and the $200,000 QR Codes and artwork of all Smash Bros. newcomers.

The mean pledge is approximately $108.

Once again, Matt raised approximately $3000 from PayPal.

Approximately $1295 per day is needed to reach the $160,000 stretch goal (or approximately $1115 per day with PayPal).

Approximately $2505 per day is needed to reach the $180,000 stretch goal (or approximately $2325 per day with PayPal).

Approximately $3715 per day is needed to reach the $200,000 stretch goal (or approximately $3535 per day with PayPal).

Given current trends, the $200,000 stretch goal is achievable.

    C'mon $160K goal.

On a side note, I haven't placed my pledge yet, so expect another $110.

Update: Got the slip cover too, so add $140 to that box o' cash.

My pledge put the Kickstarter itself over $140k. The Paypal seems to have ~$3k, so we're at about $143k.

I'll leave the hard math to the Kirbinator. Unless it involves Wario sprinting while carrying a ton and a half of golden princess. Then I do the math.

My real-life friend bought the hardcover trilogy through PayPal. Matt, you said that all Kickstarter backers would get the free MP3s. How would those who ordered through PayPal get the free MP3s?

Alright, so I got the Paperback Special Thanks Complete set. But when is the Post-KickStarter Survey, what site will it be on, and can I do it on a mobile device or tablet?

The "My Own Comic" tier ($1000) now has one slot available. If you have a very deep wallet, now is your chance!

Well it looks like we may only reach lvl 7 by the skin of our teeth, and 8&9 (Volume One Reprint; QR Codes and Newcomers) will not happen.

Actually, Stretch Goal 8 can be done and Stretch Goal 9 would be reached through the skin of our teeth.

    I have done many calculations.

The post-Kickstarter survey will be on Kickstarter itself, e-mailed to all backers.

Any device that can access Kickstarter can access the post-Kickstarter survey.

    Bump:

BitF made it to the KickTraq Hot List (at 24th place as of this post): www.kicktraq.com/hotlist/

    Here is the mini-chart:

To keep BitF: The Complete Collection on the hot list, more people need to visit the Kicktraq page, which is linked by clicking on the above chart.

Oh, and keep the comments in the Kickstarter page active.

By the way, by the time Matt reads this, the seventh stretch goal has been reached.

We've made the 7th stretch goal if the ~$3k in Paypal is included.

I was never too keen on the last 2 goals, but I'm not opposed to more stuff, so keep going!

It's too bad they don't show the PayPal numbers. Anyway, I hope we can get this stretch goal. It's impossible to get the 200k one, though.
