As the shock had subsided from the reveal, Nagi explained the situation that your group of nine would be facing in the coming months to come. Starting from this point onward you were at war with the world you found yourself captive in. The only way to escape it would be to dominate and subjugate the lands by force, clearing out the inhabitant monsters, Stellars as they were apparently called. Slaying a Stellar or any of its kin would yield its powers and likeness as spoils of war, consequently making the victor stronger as a result.

Your priority is to reach to top of the Clocktower. As scaling it is impossible due to the deadly Static within, you only option is to gain the powers of flight, personal or otherwise. To do this you must traverse the land, find Stellars possessing the aspects you seek, and taken them for yourself. To aid you in this endeavor Nagi has permanently taken residence among you, and shall give you a single concentrated essence of your choice, allowing you to utilize it as you see fit. A fair warning though, if you choose flight you'll still have to deal with whatever may be found up there, so the easy route may not be the wisest.

Due to the extenuating circumstance, Zeno has recommended that everyone should partner up if they plan to leave the castle. Since Nagi is now arguably a member of this party as well, that brings the total party to ten.

The first mission begins soon, a reconaissancd mission in search for airbourne Stellars. As you will be participating you should now choose any ability you would like to uses, as well as a partner to team up with. Who and what will it be?

Your ability should be controlling things with your mind, and partner up with Nagi.

But if you can stop time, you can make people think you can teleport to the coffee maker!
Plus, it makes dodging attacks or combo-ing enemies very simple.
There'd need to be a limit though. Maybe spending one minute in Bullet Time every hour.

    Re: CYOA: Messier Crash

You decide that the best use of this opportunity would be to gain heightened mental capabilities, like moving stuff with your brain. Despite the previous lashing that Nagi doled out to you, your request was obliged without criticism. Depositing an irridecent lump of stone in your hand, about the size of a quarter and oddly silky to the touch, the wispurr simply smiled kindly and moved on to the next request. For the near crazed levels of energy Nagi put out, it was a new sight to see it seemingly at peace for however long it would last.

The time then came for teams to be built. Zeno and Coir agreed to hold down the castle as the home team should invaders dare strike in their absence. Acheron and Bella formed the second, and Liavi and Rotin served as the third party, leaving Grave and Lord Quantum to make the fourth. You were admittedly disapointed that nobody had offered to work with you, but all things considered you couldn't blame them, they knew each other better and someone had to be stuck with Nagi regardless. Much to its enjoyment, that somebody ended up being you.

"We'll have a lot of space to cover so we'll split the area covered into 4 sections, A, B, C, and D." Zeno explained to the groups."Area A contains the western portion of the upper ridge. Our previous assessments have shown there appears to be a Ruins nearby one of the peaks. Now that we understand more clearly the purpose behind our presence here, perhaps we can discover something insightful there."

"Area B is the northern region of the lower ridge. As Coir has been the only one to delve into that region, we only know that a large Labyrinth blocks the path to a Valley deeper below, and not much else. On route to this Area is a Stellar campsite, watched over by the powerful hunter Orion. Although they are neutral to our present they will not hesitate to engage us, so combat readiness is vital."

"Area C houses the eastern portion of the upper ridge and is our most familiar, as well as many kinds of Stellars. The variety alone is worth study for future reference, but the discovery of an airbourne aspect in any of them is the primary objective for the party here."

"Area D is the where the Clock Tower can be found to the south of the lower ridge. Although it is unlikely we shouldn't rule out the possibility of a missed route or manner to scale the tower safely. It is therefore asked that the surrounding area be carefully searched."

"Oh wow! It all sounds so fun! Which one should we pick?" Nagi waited to hear your response. They all carried tints of danger in various shades, so maybe due to your inexperience you might want to opt for the safest? Which one?

    Re: CYOA: Messier Crash

(Majority wins. To the ruins Dave goes.)

The possibilty posed by the ruins catches your intrigue, and you volunteer for the task. Nagi nods in agreement. "I had a feeling you'd choose that mission. Good thing too, you'd be hopeless without a guide like me to help make any meaningful progress in that shabby old place." Sure. Whatever you say Nagi.

Whatever light outside the castle had long since dimmed as preparations for the busy days ahead are made. The plan will be for the party to travel together in two groups, and then break off toward their destinations. You and Nagi will be teaming temporarily with Grave and Lord Quantum before they head south to the Tower on Mission D. Everyone had been working tirelessly, compiling maps, polishing weapons, and storing provisions. Even Nagi has found something to take its attention away from you. The most you could think pack was the basic rations and a bundle of arrows for your bow, so you were left with time to yourself. Its true that you could simply turn in for the night, but you doubt you'd be able to sleep at all. Resigning to your restlessness, you decide to take a walk around. The castle as you've learned has two main stories, with a number of rooms on each floor. Many of them were either bedrooms or empty, but there were a few notable exceptions.

On the first floor you can find:
    The Pantry
    The Dining Hall
    The Weapons Room
    The Throne chamber
    The Garden

On the floor you're on now:
    The Library
    The Vivarium
    The Music Hall
    The Laboratory
    The Tower Access

What would you like to do?

A Vivarium is a sanctuary for animals I believe. The only reason I know that is because I had a dream once with a character named Vivaria and looked it up. It's the plural form of Vivarium.

After the lesson, we decide to head to the Vivarium (it must be a sign)

    You enter the Vivarium.

The room is spacious and open lighted. The glass roof panelling above was obviously chosen to create as natural an environment as possible. There are potted plants blooming everywhere you can see, taking up entire tables, and occasionally leaving the boundaries of their planter in search of light. Although there is a garden just outside, you suspect their presence here is for a specific purpose as many of these plants seem exotic or downright alien in nature, leading to the conclusion that they've likely been bred manually.

"Oh! Dave! Over here!" A voice calls you from the back of the room, leading you over to a rather overgrown piece of foliage. Behind it was a positively ecstatic Liavi Regada, who was standing before a large vine riddled mechanism. "This room is something else, am I correct? I've been tending to the plants in here in my spare time. When I came in today it would seem they all spontaneously bloomed together!" Regada was had a friendly air around him. Although he was essentially a soldier you couldn't see how, the armor he wore was limited, being a simple chestplate, cuffs, and boots; likely only out of necessity. His focus for aesthetic flair however was given far more attention. The blue cavalier hat and tunic he wore were sensibly decorated within a white trim, accentuating the large feather and midlength flowing cape he also wore. At his side was his trusty rapier, pristene and ever ready to be drawn at a moment's notice.

You admit that you're impressed, his garden you mean, but you are fairly curious why he's so excited. To answer your question, Liavi reached into a pocket within his his armor to retrieve a smooth teardrop-sized green crystal. "I found a crystal like this on my third night here. While I was rummaging around I stumbled upon a pouch that had the emblem of a flower, so I imagined they were seeds. And seeds they were! Now these beautiful flowers have been spouting seeds hourly with no sign of slowing! ...I may need to borrow a few empty rooms to hold them all."

You take the crystal into your hand and examine it carefully. It had the same silky feel and iridecent glow of the gemstone Nagi gave you earlier this day, could they be one and the same? Fetching the telekinetic essence from your person laid credence to this idea. Picking up on this line of thought, Liavi removed his gem from the hilt of his rapier. "I had been considering the same thing I believe. These, Essences I believe they were called, are quite versatile, no? I have seen some of us choosing to absorb the essence directly into their beings, while others have made them into decorations, like I have for my blade. Seeing these plants however has shown me the light of a third possibility of utility. Perhaps there is a way to grow these essences naturally, without having to tear them from the Stellars as we have been lead to believe."

It was certainly a possibility that made as much sense as the essences did themselves. It would certainly be beneficial though.
