If you're having any issues with the site, please post them here. Either fiftyeighthens or I will look into the problem, but we do need to know that there's a problem to look into first!

And don't hesitate to drop any of the staff a PM if it's something serious. That's sort of what PM Inboxes were made for, in any case.

Adding further to my problem on the other topic, said image was this

It appears that randomized images won't work, though I'm not sure on animated gifs. My current avatar worked with some subversion(was too large of a filesize initially), but I can't figure why an animated .gif wouldn't work.

I haven't tried again on sigs, but sigs apparently have stricter limits on their sizes as well that are enforced by vBulletin.

They're allowed, you just have to put them in these tags: [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] for some reason.

They don't seem to let you hyperlink, though.

EDIT: Not that big of a problem, but it seems that whenever I try to save my settings, it gives me this.

I don't think vBulletin supports .gif avatars or Randimgs. I don't mind it being stuck on 2D, but if there's a way to fix this, that'd be great.

Looking at this thread, there seem to be a lot of questions regarding the signature system, but I'm not seeing any solid explanations, and so far I've been entirely unsuccessful at figuring it out on my own. Also, for some bizarre reason, I was told that the Get Fuzzy quote I always had in my sig back on E-Blah contained a censored word and that I could not have it in my signature. What's up with that?

Seems that the images work now...weird. Oh well, my second question is still as valid as ever.

Uh-oh. The search engine's performance has taken a hit. It's taking 30 seconds to get a listing of new posts since the last time I visited these forums. Do guests have access to search? The permissions should probably be changed so that registered members and staff can use the search function instead.

As of right now, only registered members have access to search.

Right now the site in general's moving a bit slow for me too, but I'm assuming it's because we're supporting two forums on one server right now. Otherwise, there's noting code-wise that should be causing the lag. At least, I'm pretty sure there isn't.

Then since people can now upload avs and sigs (and maybe other what not -- I dunno what you guys will do with the stuff like attachments/albums), it may be a good idea to keep guests from viewing avatars, sigs, and profile pics. The bots will drain the server when cataloging everything here since uploads are hosted by BitF itself with this vBulletin setup.

I'll keep that in mind.

As of right now we have albums disabled, and may keep it that way to keep site speed up and reduce the amount of space we take up. Not entirely sure how to disable Guest viewing just yet, but it's probably somewhere in the menus upon menus of the ACP.

But I have yet to finish going through the menus inside menus inside menus inside menus. Good ideas, though.

No. It's there for everyone, I think.

Yeah I have not a clue if it is possible to align the banner via a center point. So for now expect it to remain there.

Ugh, I'm having so many issues with signatures...I'd be fine with just a picture but the site's uploader adds ugly artifacts to images...I can't figure out the tag for images ;_;

EDIT-I understand this now and feel like a moron disregard
EDIT 2-Actually please do not disregard, 64KB for signature images is criminal and that means I'd have to run with the horrible quality site uploader or make my signature pictures microscopic. Am I missing something?

unamiem909, you have to upload any avatar you wish to use here. If the av you want is on the internet, get the URL of it and BitF will upload a copy for you. If your av is on your computer, you can upload it to here from your computer.

EDIT 2 - Bots are taking aim on these forums. It would be a good idea to find a registration mod that puts a question a human can answer on the registration page. Then no bots will be able to get in without reprogramming. And if that happens, the question can be switched instantly breaking the bot again.
