Um, well, technically there is no known cartridge version of Jelly Boy 2 being currently sold, since it's considered a "cancelled prototype" game (even though the game should be 99.99% finished). And even if such a cartridge would be sold, it'd probably cost a ton of money, typical for prototype game cartridges. And the only known instance of a cartridge appearing is a bunch of Japanese players hosting an online show playing a PCB of the cartridge without the usual Super Famicom casing. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the only physical copy in existence. But yeah, a ROM version and a fan translation patch of Jelly Boy 2 shouldn't be too hard to find. I'm not linking a ROM, but you should know where to search. Just type the words in Google and you're good. Just don't confuse the game with the European Ocean-developed game with a similar title starring some pink dude, totally unrelated!

I will, however, link a sample video of footage. The first two names of the opening credits, Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, should sound familiar. Yoshinori Sunahara, however, never worked at Game Freak, and in fact was a former member of a Sony-owned Japanese music group called Denki Groove.

And just for comparison, here's footage of the released predecessor, Smart Ball, also Game Freak-made. Yeah, Jelly Boy 2 looks totally better and improved from Smart Ball (in fact, I think one of the tutorial stages from HarmoKnight may be inspired by Smart Ball's protagonist, but could just be some coincidence)

And in case if you're wondering why Jelly Boy 2 was cancelled despite its completion status, improves upon the Smart Ball graphics and engine, and backed by the people who would later develop Pokemon (and Drill Dozer and HarmoKnight), well, consider the fact that the game was going to be released in 1994. The game was going to be published by Sony. Sony's last Japanese non-PS release was Skyblazer in Feb. 1994. Sony's first console, the PS1, was released in Japan at around December 1994. Yeahhh...

Also found a handy guide for getting all 9 pieces in Jelly Boy 2. Wow. Someone has lots of time

Yeah, neutral too. Mixed feelings actually. I can't decide if I want spoilers or not.

Anyway, I do have an idea on what you could LP next. Since Game Freak's newest Pokemon game is around the corner, why not LP a lost SNES classic platformer from that developer (literally, I hear it's been canceled due to Sony and the PS1): Jelly Boy 2. It's the sequel to the released Smart Ball/Jerry Boy, also by Game Freak. I hear the game and a fan translation is around if you know where to look. Maybe?

Um, I just told you about the situation, the one where retailers released X and Y early and leaks happened. And now Nintendo's getting involved in it. I understand why, but haven't they heard of the Streisand effect? Giving those leaked Pokemon the official reveal treatment would be more like it, since there's only a week left in XY's release

Stupid retailers, willing to release games early without the OK from Nintendo just to make a few quick bucks. Oh well, leaks are inevitable anyway. They're going to happen one way or another.

What do you think of the Pokemon situation in Canada and Italy, btw?

Aw yeah. I'm not much of a brony anymore, but good to know you're still going good.

Also, your country got X and Y before America?
